Hall County residents have until March 1 to give feedback on the draft of the Hall County Comprehensive Plan.

Hall County government officials said the comprehensive plan is an outline of how the County’s long-term vision for land development will be met over time.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to conduct community meetings, gather data from surveys and ensure public input has been captured in the comprehensive planning process,” Hall County Planning and Development Director Randi Doveton said. “We are now officially into phase two of the project, which means we have a draft prepared and ready for one last round of public review and comments before the Comprehensive Plan is adopted in June.”

The Comprehensive Plan is made to balance population, economic and employment growth while maintaining rural character, greenspace and natural resources. The plan also addresses the need to coordinate new development with infrastructure capacity.

“Our last major update to the plan was in 2017, and a lot has changed in Hall County since then, which is why citizen feedback is incredibly important to this process. We want to ensure the Comprehensive Plan accurately reflects the values and visions of Hall County communities,” Doveton said.

Officials said the public review period is the last opportunity for residents to give feedback before the plan is submitted for official review in March.
