Georgia gas price average Georgians will be seeing some joyful prices heading into 2025 at the pumps, compared to a week ago.

AAA of Georgia says that drivers are now paying an average of $2.89 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline (subject to change overnight). Monday's state average is 2 cents less than a week ago, 2 cents less than a month ago, and 10 cents less than last year.

Montrae Waiters with AAA of Georgia says, "Crude oil remains low, and demand has tapered off somewhat now that Christmas has passed, which helped gas prices drop a little."  Waiters notes that Georgia drivers are expected to travel in record numbers leading up to the New Year on Wednesday, January 1st.,and commuters could see a little hike in the prices at the pumps as we get closer to New Year’s Eve.

The gas price average chart with AAA shows the average price for gas in Hall County is slightly lower than the state average at $2.87 per gallon (as of Monday, and subject to change). Commuters will see the lowest average price for northeast Georgia in Rabun County, at $2.76 per gallon, with the highest average price found in White County at $2.99.

Nationally, the average price has also dropped about 2 cents per gallon, to about $3.02 per gallon for regular unleaded grade. A link to the AAA gas price chart for Georgia can be found here.
