Retired Maysville Police Chief Clarence Sullens passes away at 76

Retired Maysville Police Chief Clarence Jewell Sullens passed away Tuesday at the age of 76. 

According to an obituary from Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, Sullens passed in Cleveland surrounded by his family. 

Sullens served in several law enforcement agencies within Hall County for over 40 years before he was named the Police Chief for the City of Maysville. He served in that role for 15 years before retiring in August of 2014. 

Sullens also served in the United States Army during the VietNam War. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 8, 1973. 

Funeral services to include military honors are intrusted to the  Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.  A full obituary can be found here.
