COAL MOUNTAIN, Ga. — North Forsyth took over sole possession of first place in Region 6-6A with a dominating 70-36 win at home on Saturday in both teams’ final region game until after the New Year.
The Lady Raiders (10-0, 4-0 Region 6-6A) came in ranked fourth in Class 6A in the Speil rankings and got another stellar defensive effort. They came into the game allowing just 36.7 points/game and held the Lady War Eagles (10-2, 4-1 Region 6-6A) to exactly that.
North Forsyth also got balanced scoring across the bench. London Weaver led the way with 15 points. Gabbie Gliatta added 14 points and Sophia Parks had 12 points for the Lady Raiders.
The loss for unranked South Forsyth snapped their 5-game win streak as well.
