Colder weather conditions are not creating a "winter wonderland" for golf enthusiasts in parts of northeast Georgia this week.

The National Weather Service projects Gainesville-Hall County will see temperatures dip into the 20s through the majority of this week, with highs reaching only the mid 40s and low 50s.

To prepare for wintry conditions forecast for the area, greens at Chattahoochee Golf Club (CGC) will be covered Monday, Dec. 2, and unavailable for play until midweek, at the earliest.

A social media post by the CGC shows that the greens will remain covered until Wednesday afternoon, December 4, though it's possible the weather may delay CGC's reopening until Friday afternoon, December 6.

The CGC driving range will remain open during this time.  Chattahoochee Grill will be open for dinner only from Tuesday through Friday. For potential updates, course officials ask you to please visit gainesville.org.
