Girls basketball: Jefferson, Buford win; NHall, CHS fall

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The South Forsyth girls basketball team knocked off North Hall, 58-50, in the North Hall Thanksgiving Shootout championship on Monday. 

Callie Salvador led South Forsyth with 22, Berkeley Bennet netted 14, and Avynn Knicely added 8 points.

Sibley Fountain led North Hall with a double-double, scoring 14 points with 12 rebounds. Athena Vachtsevanos also scored 14, while Allie Holden netted nine, and Ealyn Kennedy and Lauren Hemmed added five each.


JEFFERSON 52, 
CHESTATEE 41

Payton Cable scored 17 points and nine rebounds, and Carolin Bull had 13 points in Chestatee's semifinal loss to Jefferson in the Jackson EMC Tournament on Monday.

Ali Jae Bull added seven points and eight rebounds.

The Lady War Eagles will play East Forsyth on Tuesday for third place. Jefferson will battle Buford for the championship.


BUFORD 57, 
EAST FORSYTH 30

Lydia Ledford scored 18 points to lead the Lady Wolves past East Forsyth on Monday in the Jackson EMC Thanksgiving Tournament at Jefferson. E'miah Fields added 16 points in the win.

Buford will play Jefferson in the championship game on Tuesday.
