Officials with Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) have saved a family from a Sunday afternoon house fire in Gainesville.
At approximately 3:20 pm, Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 2200 block of Barnes Drive for reports of a working residential fire. First arriving crews found a single story home with heavy fire in the front of the structure.
Kimberlie Ledsinger with the HCFR says personnel began an attack on the fire from the interior shortly upon their arrival, knocking it down quickly.
The American Red Cross was notified for two adult residents who were displaced from the fire. Ledsinger says no personnel were injured at the scene and the primary search was all clear moments later.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is continuing its investigation.
