ATHENS, Ga. — The Lakeview boys basketball rallied in the second half to knock off Heritage 60-56 Saturday in the Cedar Shoals Showcase at Cedar Shoals High School.
It was a rematch of the 2024 GIAA State Championship game.
Heritage led 26-25 at halftime, but the Lions ran out to a 42-38 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Tayden Ware led the Lions with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Justyce Sadler added 13, Jude Ellis had 11, Brock Graham chipped in 9, and Eli Mayfield netted 6.
The Lions will travel to Cedar Shoals on Monday.
