A traffic stop on the west side of Gainesville Monday led to the arrest of a Marietta woman after cocaine was found in the vehicle.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that deputies pulled over Katelyn Elizabeth Squier, age 31, for a tag light violation on McEver Road just south of Browns Bridge Road.

"During the course of the traffic stop, deputies determined Ms. Squier was in possession of illegal drugs, so they called investigators," a release from the sheriff's office said. "Investigators found just over 30 grams of cocaine in a baggie in the console of her vehicle."

Officials also said they found evidence that Squier had communicated via cell phone about a drug transaction.

Squier is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond on possession and trafficking cocaine charges.
