AMERICUS, Ga. – Union County's season came to a close Friday night as the Panthers fell to Sumter County, 37-6.
Sumter County took a 23-0 lead at halftime and added two touchdowns in the third quarter before the Panthers got a passing score late in the game to get to the final score.
The Panthers finish the season 4-7 after losing their starting quarterback in the preseason. Kamden Kendrick stepped in to lead Union County to the playoffs.
