Two men with ties to North Georgia were recently named to leadership positions with Watkinsville-based trucking and logistic company LAD Truck Lines Inc.
Josh Tench, a Cornelia native and 2011 Piedmont University graduate was named Vice President of Sales and Logistics with the company.
Tench, who has over a decade of experience in marketing and logistics, began his career with the company while he worked to earn his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was offered a full time role with the company post-graduation.
Tench was named Marketing Director in 2017 where he developed strategic marketing initiatives. He then took on management responsibilities for the logistics department in 2022.
As Vice President of Sales and Logistics, Tench will oversee LAD Truck Lines’ logistics operations and strengthen client relationships through a customer-centric approach.

Meanwhile, Gainesville native Adam Webb was promoted to General Manager of the company.
Webb has served in various roles within the company since 2011. He began his career with LAD Truck Lines working in its shipping and receiving warehouse. Webb was then brought to LAD’s brokerage team in 2012, then transitioned to dispatching owner-operators. In 2021, he was named planner and driver manager, overseeing LAD Truck Lines’ fleet of owner-operators.
In his new role, Webb will oversee daily operations and the company’s trucks and other assets.
Webb graduated from East Hall High School in 2002. He earned his Associate of science degree from Gainesville College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Georgia.
