Two separate incidents led to three drug-related arrests in Towns County on Thursday.

The first incident occurred when Towns County Drug Investigators got a tip of drug activity in two different rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Hiawassee.

Probable cause was established and they searched the rooms and allegedly found a field tested “amount” of methamphetamines that they confiscated.

They made two arrests, on 26-year-old Hannah Jo Barajas for possession of a controlled substance and 38-year-old Kevin Lee Parson of Lula for possession of a controlled substance.

The next incident took place at a residence in the Upper Bell Creek area.

They searched the home of 37-year-old Cody Crane of Hiawassee and charged him with  misdemeanor possession and use of a drug-related object.
