The Paul E. Bolding American Legion Post 7's Annual Veteran's Day Program is ready to honor many of our nation's local military heros, and all who have served their country.
Post Commander Andre Castleberry has told AccessWDUN that this year's speaker will be Mr. Alan Kinder, a 99-year old World War II Veteran who recently traveled back to Normandy, France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion. Mr. Kinder has been featured on 60 Minutes and multiple news outlets about his experiences during WWII.
The ceremony this year will actually be held at the Post 7 Legion Hall, located at, 2343 Riverside Drive in Gainesville. Opening comments will be made beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the ceremony scheduled to run until 12:30 Monday afternoon.
