LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Buford continued their dominance with a 49-7 win over Mountain View Friday night.
Jordan Allen opened the game with a kickoff return for a touchdown to give the Wolves the early lead, but Mountain View answered with a touchdown three minutes later to tie the game. That was the last time Mountain View would see the endzone.
Buford retook the lead with a Justin Baker 60-yard run to take a 13-7 lead. Three minutes later, Ethan Ervin had a 37-yard scamper to take a 19-7 lead after the first quarter. Baker had his second touchdown of the day with three minutes to go in the first half on a 52-yard run before Andrew Ivanicich hit a 39-yard field goal to take a 28-7 lead into the half.
In the second half, the Buford defense got their opportunity to score as Ervin scooped and scored from 42 yards out before Ty Green further stretched the lead with two touchdowns to wrap up the game.
In total, the Wolves had 453 yards of offense, 293 of which came on the ground.
Buford will travel to Mill Creek to wrap up the regular season next week.
