A Flowery Branch man was arrested Thursday, Oct. 17 on felony charges for the possession and distribution of child sex abuse material.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Investigators received a cyber tip on Monday, Oct. 14 that led them to Steven Joseph Robertson, 32. An investigation revealed Robertson allegedly shared videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct via social media on July 12, 2024.

Robertson is a registered sex offender, according to a release from HCSO.

Investigators with the agency served a search warrant of Robertson’s home on Compass Drive. Following that search, the suspect was charged with 10 felony counts of sexual exploitation of children, five related to the possession of CSAM and five for distribution of CSAM.

Investigators also seized several electronic devices belonging to Robertson for forensic processing. HCSO said Robertson could face additional charges, depending on the results of that investigation.
