One Hall Co. resident found dead after house fire, victim identified

The identification of the victim from a residential fire on Sardis Road on Thursday has been revealed.

91-year-old Bonnie Clifford Dunagan was the victim inside of the home.

Her body was transported for autopsy.

A residential fire in Hall County claimed the life of one victim on Thursday.

Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) reports that they responded to Sardis Road just before 1 p.m. to reports of the fire and discovered a home fully involved in flames. 

During the crew’s primary search, one of the two residents was found deceased.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is assisting in the investigation of the death.

The remainder of the fire was put out. The home is considered a total loss and the American Red Cross was notified for the other resident.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
