WALNUT GROVE, Ga. — Brock Szakacs threw 3 TD passes to lead East Forsyth to a key 34-15, Region 8-4A win over Walnut Grove on Thursday on the road.
Szakacs connected on TD passes to DJ Haskell (8 yards), Trent Polk (25 yards) and 28 yards to Chase Rhoads, all in the first half.
Haskell also added a 10-yard touchdown run.
The defense also got in the scoring column as Titus D’Arcangelo returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown.
The win for Broncos (7-1, 3-1 Region 8-4A) moved them within one-half of both North Oconee and Eastside, who play each other on Friday. East Forsyth travels to Eastside next week.
The loss for the Warriors (4-3, 1-2 Region 8-4A) dropped them to just a half-game ahead of Flowery Branch and Madison County for fourth place.
