Hall County Law Enforcement warns commuters for expected delays during Road Atlanta's race weekend

Race weekend has returned for the annual Motul Petit LeMans race at Michelin Raceway's Road Atlanta in Braselton.  With it comes the expected increased in volume of traffic through the area.

Hall County Sheriff's Office social media pages has posted advisories for commuters in the area to plan accordingly, as traffic volume is increasing to the Road Atlanta course, along Winder Highway (SR 53), and area surface streets approaching the track.

Commuters should expecty heavier volume exiting I-985, I-85 in Jackson County, and for State Routes 211 (Tanners Mill Road) and 53 (Winder Highway) between Wednesday, October 9 through the race itself on Saturday, October 12.

Detours will be in place on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 for streets connecting State Routes 53 and 211 with Benefield Road, near entrances to Road Atlanta's gates druing the evening hours.
