Hall Area Transit announced it will hold on Thursday, Feb. 8, a job fair to hire part-time WeGo drivers.
Gainesville city officials said the fair will be held at HAT headquarters, located at 687 Main St. S.W. near Downtown Gainesville from 5-7 p.m.
The city is looking to recruit and hire drivers on the spot who are willing to drive from 2-9:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, noon-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 5-9 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Gainesville officials said applicants have to opportunity to earn a $250 signing bonus and a minimum $15.50 an hour wage up to 29 hours weekly. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report. Please apply online before the job fair here to expedite the hiring process.
During the fair, those interested can engage with city staff during on-site application reviews, interviews, MVR and background checks. Applicants will have the opportunity to speak with current drivers about their experiences driving for the city and check out the WeGo vehicles.
WeGo rideshare service is available from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Friday anywhere in Gainesville-Hall County.
