Georgia Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close the left lane for I-85 both northbound and southbound directions from Suwanee to Lawrenceville Road to perform work on the concrete median.
The work will involve closure of the Peach Pass lanes at the 109.6 mile marker in both directions. On the northbound side, lane 2 will also be closed while this activity is in process.
The work will begin on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. when the roadway will fully reopen. Maintenance will restart again on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Georgia DOT advises that exact dates may change due to weather or other factors.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers.
