White County's Public Safety departments have recently completed a comprehensive training exercise to enhance communications and response times for emergencies.
The exercise at Mount Yonah Elementary School on January 3rd was in collaboration with GEMA officials to enhance operations and coordination during potential crisis issues.
White County officials say this was the first time that they have integrated their numerous divisions of law enforcement, fire and medical services with school administration into a unified command for such training.
Participating agencies included:
- White County Board of Education
- White County Emergency Management
- White County Fire Services
- White County E911 Dispatch
- White County Sheriff’s Office
- White County Emergency Medical Services
- Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security
A release from White County's Public Relations' Ofiice said that collaborative effort underscores the commitment of White County Public Safety agencies to continuously improve preparedness, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community in times of need.
