Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville has announced the first baby born under their roof at the start of the new year.
The announcement was made Monday afternoon by officials with the hospital.
Alexander Gomez Santizo was born Monday at 3:47 a.m., according to spokeswoman Emily Kerns.
Alexander weighs 6 pounds, 2 ounces and is just over 19 inches long, Kerns said.
