OAKWOOD, Ga. — Johnson got its second win of the season, holding off Lakeside-DeKalb, 20-17, at The Dungeon Friday night.
Quarterback Demetri Moon had a pair of rushing touchdowns but it was the leg of Edgar Vazquez that was the difference. Vazquez booted field goals of 48-yards and 36-yard, the last being the eventual game-winner.
The Knights (2-3) have two of their last four games following a 35-game losing streak.
Johnson is off next week before traveling to take on Towns County and former long-time coach Jason Roquemore.
