Commuters will see a second straight week of slight declines in gas prices in and around Georgia.
AAA of Georgia reports that the average price for unleaded regular gasoline dipped slightly (as of Monday) to $3.56 per gallon statewide.
That's an average of four cents lower than last week's price and eight cents lower than one month ago. It's also 30 cents below the price from the same time last year.
In Hall County commuters are paying an average of $3.54 per gallon today, with the lowest average price for gas in Stephens and Hart Counties at $3.40.
Nationwide, commuters on average are paying about $3.82 per gallon for unleaded regular gasoline.
“Despite the uptick in crude oil prices, Georgians are feeling some relief at the pump,” according to Montrae Waiters, AAA-The Auto Club Group spokeswoman. “Gas prices may ebb and flow until we get beyond hurricane season and its threats to Gulf Coast oil and gas production and refining."
