The Towns County Sheriff’s Office, Towns County Fire Department and Georgia Department of Natural Resources are investigating a missing person case.
Media posts with the Sheriff's Office indicate that 38-year-old Steven Murphy left his home along True Love Mountain Road on Sunday August 27th.
He has very serious health issues that authorities say require medication.
Tracking K-9's, a Georgia State Patrol Helicopter and a Towns County Sheriff's Office Drone Unit accompanied a foot search of the area, but recently concluded with negative results.
Towns County officials say the area around Mr. Murphy's residence is steep, heavily wooded and extremely difficult to search.
