GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Lakeview Academy opened its GISA Region 4-3A schedule with a solid four-set win over Bethlehem Christian on Monday.
It was the fourth straight match win overall for the Lady Lions (11-7, 1-0 GISA Region 4-3A).
Lakeview looked poised for a straight-set win after taking the first two sets 25-16 and 25-19. But Bethlehem Christian (4-3, 0-1 GISA Region 4-3A) fought back to win the third set 25-22 before Lakeview finished off the match winning the fourth set 25-13.
Taliah Gaither paced the Lady Lions with 13 kills and 6 blocks. Maggy Rogers added 9 kills, and Addie Gilmer had 22 assists for Lakeview.
Kinsley Owenby had 9 digs and Annie Nivens 4 blocks for the Lady Lions.
Lakeview next will travel to Stephens County on Tuesday to take on the Lady Indians and Banks County in a tri-match.
