One man was critically injured in a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon in Banks County.
According to Banks County Fire Chief Steve Nichols, crews responded just before 6 p.m. to the accident on Highway 98 in Maysville.
Units found the man trapped in the vehicle when they arrived. Units had to perform an extensive extrication and the man in his mid-30s was eventually removed from the wreckage.
He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville in critical condition with multi-trauma injuries.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries in the incident and was treated and released at a local hospital.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
