A portion of Allen Creek Road in Gainesville will be shut down for four months beginning Monday.
A release from the Gainesville Water Department said the portion of the road between Monroe Drive and the Hall County Public Safety Complex will be shut down from August 7 to December 4. The department did not specify what is causing the road closure, but advised the public to drive carefully and watch for construction workers and equipment during the closure.
The department said traffic to the Allen Creek Soccer Complex will not be affected and traffic to the public safety complex will detour using Georgia 60, Fullenwider Road and the newly-constructed James Simpson Boulevard.
