Flowery Branch City Council is considering cancelling its contract with Utility Service Company Inc.

Since 1999, the company has been responsible for the maintenance of a 60,000- gallon tank on Gainesville Street as well as a 150,000-gallon tank on Roberts Drive.

The contract says that the service "will clean and repaint the interior and/or exterior of the tank at such time as complete repainting is needed."

City documents also show photos of the Roberts Drive tank with chipped paint and rust throughout the structure.

The vote was put off by City Council on Thursday, Aug. 3, and will be re-evaluated on Sept. 17th
