An accident involving multiple tractor-trailers Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 85 in Banks County left extended delays on the roadway.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the incident happened on I-85 northbound near Exit 149 / U.S. 441.
The agency said multiple tractor-trailers were involved in the wreck, leaving all lanes blocked.
A detour was established in the area to move traffic onto a side road to get back onto I-85 northbound past the crash.
Fuel was spilled on the roadway during the incident. A hazmat crew was on the way to clean up the spill as of this story's publish time.
