SEATTLE — Gainesville's Reese Olson turned in another solid effort but could not get his second win as the Detroit Tigers dropped a 2-0 decision to the Seattle Mariners on Sunday.
Olson (1-3) went 5 1/3 innings scattering six hits and allowing two runs while striking out five. He walked none.
The Mariners scored single runs in the first and fourth. The Tigers offense, which has scored the second fewest runs in the majors (357), managed to get just two base runners to second base.
