The Gainesville Police Department is investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that left a male with injuries.
According to Gainesville Police Lt. Kevin Holbrook, police responded to an apartment complex off Linwood Drive at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday for a reported shooting.
Arriving officers found a male with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in stable condition.
"Investigators are still working to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the shooting, but feel it was not a random crime," Holbrook said.
No other details were released.
