Atlanta-based UPS will finally equip its trucks with air conditioning which will give its drivers a cooler work environment.
The Teamsters representing workers at the delivery company have reached a preliminary agreement on the issue, one both sides have been battling.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the union posted that they and UPS agreed to tentative language to equip the delivery and logistics company's fleet of vehicles with air conditioning systems, new heat shields, and additional fans.
UPS also noted in a press release that it would begin putting AC in all newly purchased small package delivery vehicles starting January 1 of 2024.
