Gwinnett County Police Detectives are investigating a road rage incident involving a woman being shot.
A release from the Gwinnett Police Department said that around 9:30 p.m. on June 1, officers responded to a person shot call on Stone Mountain Highway.
Officers located the victim, who was suffering from a foot wound. The victim's vehicle had multiple bullet holes with several shell casings discovered at the scene.
The victim was driving eastbound on Stone Mountain Highway when a vehicle was following her and flashing its headlights like it wanted to pass her.
She said she was trying to get away from the vehicle near Exit 9 on Stone Mountain Highway when the vehicle cut her off and started firing shots into her vehicle's passenger side.
The victim said she was further trying to get away from the suspect’s vehicle when it cut back the other way and fired more shots into the car.
The suspect’s vehicle is described to be a dark, possibly green passenger car.
