Former Vice President Mike Pence has announced that he is unable to be the keynote speaker for Georgia's GOP Convention next week.
Republican Party Chair David Shafer emailed delegates on Wednesday about the change, noting that Pence will not participate due to a televised national town hall where Pence will be making an announcement regarding future plans.
The former Arizona candidate for governor Kari Lake will take his place as the keynote speaker on Friday, June 9.
Other Georgians like Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, and former Senator Kelly Loeffler will also be speaking.
The convention takes place on June 9 and June 10 in Columbus.
