Gwinnett County police working to identify Home Depot shoplifter

The Gwinnett County Police Department Tuesday requested the public’s help in identifying a man who shoplifted over $1,000 of merchandise earlier in May.

The man reportedly entered the Home Depot location at 2120 Hamilton Creek Parkway in Dacula on May 13. He loaded a cart with $1,206 worth of merchandise and exited the hardware store without paying, according to officials.

The shoplifter is described by police as a white male with a medium build and clean shaved with brown hair. He was wearing a pink shirt, white shorts and white sneakers with gray or black stripes at the time of the incident.

The man was driving a green 2007 Nissan Altima with a Georgia license plate of RCY4158, Gwinnett County police report.

Officials are asking anyone with information on the man’s identity to contact GCPD detectives at (770) 513-5300. Tipsters can remain anonymous by contacting Atlanta Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477 or by visiting www.stopcrimeATL.com Tipsters are eligible to receive a cash reward if their provided information leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
