It's not often that gas prices drop before the Memorial Day weekend.

According to AAA of Georgia, the state's gas price average experienced a modest decrease at the pump compared to a week ago. Georgia drivers are now paying an average price of $3.25 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

The state average is one cent less than a week ago, 13 cents less than a month ago, and 89 cents less than at this time last year.

In Hall County, the average price for unleaded gas is at $3.15 per gallon.  Lowest average county price in the area is in Towns County at $3.08 and Habersham County at $3.13 per gallon.
