One person is dead and another is injured after an altercation reportedly turned into gunfire at a Forsyth County business Wednesday morning.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Stacie Miller said officers were called to the scene at a warehouse on Ivy Street just south of Cumming at 7:40 a.m. to a report of a shooting. When they arrived four minutes later, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to a nearby hospital in what Miller called critical condition.

Miller said a preliminary investigation showed that the two men were temporary workers at the business and got into an altercation. They then retrieved guns and shot each other.

No charges have been announced at this time and the identities of the men have not been released.
