Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is preparing to pin their Class of 2023’s highest awardees.
A release from Historic Georgia Girl Scouts Council says this year’s Girl Scouts Highest Awards - Gold, Silver, and Bronze - will be recognized at the local ceremony on May 6 at the Homer United Methodist Church.
Stephanie Hoon, Emily Trinkwalder, and Ellie Wingate will receive their Gold Awards - the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve - at the local ceremony.
The three are among fourteen Girl Scouts in the Historic Georgia council earning their Gold Award this year, and will be considered for a $10,000 scholarship from Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
The GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support to one Gold Award Girl Scout per council.
They will also host a virtual ceremony on May 7 at 5:00PM
