Gas prices in Georgia drop an average of six cents from last week

The average gas price in Georgia has decreased at the pump compared to a week ago. AAA says that Georgia drivers are now paying an average price of $3.31 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday's state average is 6 cents less than a week ago.

While this average is 9 cents more than a month ago, it is 40 cents less than this time last year.

It now costs $49.65 on average to fill a 15-gallon gas tank.

The most expensive Georgia metro markets are Savannah ($3.45), Hinesville-Fort Stewart ($3.39), and Augusta-Aiken ($3.35).

The least expensive Georgia metro markets are Dalton ($3.22), Rome ($3.21), and Catoosa-Dade-Walker ($3.20). 

In Hall County, AAA reports that prices are near an average of $3.22 per gallon this week.
