Hall County has promoted Sarah Crowe as its new communications and strategic engagement manager.
The role became open after Katie Crumley began her work as the county's new assistant manager at the start of the calendar year. Crowe has worked with the county as its public information officer since September of 2022.
Crowe is a Maryland native who moved to Georgia 17 years ago. She currently lives in Cleveland.
“I’ve enjoyed my time serving the citizens of Hall County, and I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the county in a deeper and more meaningful way,” Crowe said.
Crowe previously worked for the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia and with Lanier Technical College before starting with the county in 2022. She said those jobs helped prepare her for her new role.
"With Lanier Tech, I was working a lot with local industry and creating that engagement to get them to come after our students for hire," Crowe said. "With the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, of course, community outreach and engagement. I feel like all of those experiences and of course my experience as PIO with Hall County has been super beneficial in getting me to this role."
According to a release from the county, the position will seek to lead efforts in branding, public awareness and analytics as well as develop plans for executing the county's strategic plan. Crowe will assume the position on May 1.
