Lampp inherits Winder-Barrow Limited Late Model win

Posted 2:56PM on Wednesday 19th April 2023 ( 1 year ago )

Sometimes in racing, it’s not about where you finish, but rather where you end up. That was the case in Saturday night’s Limited Late Model feature at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway.

Trae Kirk was flagged the winner, and celebrated in victory lane on the frontstretch in front of the crowd.

But after Kirk was disqualified in post-race tech, Ken Lampp was awarded the victory after crossing the finish line second on the ¼-mile clay raceway.

It marks the second win of the season for the Winder, Georgia native at his hometown track after kicking off the month of April with a victory.

Rod Roberts was moved to second, with Dink McKeehan third, and Tyler Wood fourth.

In other action, Nick Sellers scored the Hobby feature victory, with James Cason in second, followed by Dink McKeehan in third, Gavin Terry in fourth, and Randy Jackson in fifth.

Jeffery Lampp topped the Modified Street field for the feature win. John Anderson followed in second, with Stanley Hill in third, and B.J. Franklin in fourth.

Ronnie Poole beat out T.J. Edwards for the win in the Stock 8 feature. Chris Rauser crossed the finish line in third, with Mark Chancy in fourth, and Chase Chancy in fifth.

Poole doubled up on the night with a win in the Stock 4A feature. Eddie Daniels, Russell Shore, Cody Albright, and Jordan Poole rounded out the top five.

Adam Jones was first under the checkered flag to win the Stock 4B feature, with Scott Barner in second, Justin Jacobs in third, Auzzie Parker in fourth, and Terry Adkinson in fifth.

Eddie Segars recorded the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, followed by Steven Shedd in second, Wayne Chapman in third, William Earnest in fourth, and Jake McBride in fifth.

Winder-Barrow Speedway is slated to return to action on Saturday, April 22. Check WinderBarrowSpeedway.com for more info.
