BUFORD, Ga. — The Buford boys basketball team has found its new leader.

The school announced on Wednesday that long-time assistant Wes Parker will take the helm of the program, replacing retiring Benjie Wood.

Wood retired from the public school system to become head coach of the Lakeview Academy boys program last month.

Parker worked under Eddie Martin for six years and two under Wood. During that time, he's assisted the Wolves to a 185-50 record, two state titles, one state runner-up and six region championships.
