Washington Street between Green Street and E.E. Butler Parkway in Gainesville will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. Friday, March 31, to 7 a.m. Monday, April 3.
According to a press release from the City of Gainesville, crews will set up a crane to dismantle the construction crane used to build The National/Courtyard by Marriott hotel in downtown Gainesville.
Those navigating the area are urged to use alternative routes, drive carefully and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
