A North Carolina man was arrested in Towns County Sunday after he was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine laced with fentanyl.
According to a social media post from the Towns County Sheriff's Office, Dwayne Emanuel Gibson, 62, of Salisbury, North Carolina, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
Drug investigators reportedly confiscated 24 grams of methamphetamine laced with fentanyl, marijuana, cash and a small amount of counterfeit $100 bills.
"Sheriff Henderson would once again like to thank the Towns County Drug Investigators, Deputies and K-9 Deputies who work tirelessly to keep our county safe and drug-free," the social media post said.
