GAINESVILLE, Ga. — East Forsyth used a huge 10-run second inning to grab the lead en route to a 13-3, five-inning win over North Hall on Saturday in a crucial Region 8-4A North game for both squads.

The win gave the Broncos (9-6, 2-1 Region 8-4A North) a 2-1 series win over the Trojans (10-6, 1-2 Region 8-4A North).

However, North Hall got the quick early lead, scoring three runs in the first on a two-run single by Korbyn Sosebee and a RBI hit by Micah Jimerson. The Broncos plated a run in the bottom of the first on the first of four North Hall errors.

From there, Parker Roberts dominated the Trojans lineup the rest of the way going 4 2/3 innings allowing just the three runs on six hits while striking out five and walking one.

In the big second inning, the first eight East Forsyth batters reached against North Hall starter Landon Lee, who lasted just one-plus innings giving up six runs on four hits and two walks. Jimerson did not fare any better, giving up five runs on three hits and two walks in just two-thirds of an inning.

Mason Schreiber, Joseph Gurr, Owen McGee, Trey Farr, and Bradlee Hamby all had RBIs in the frame.

The Broncos added single runs in the fourth and then one in the fifth to invoke the merecy rule.
