Regions 8-7A, 8-6A, 8-5A and 8-4A all will continue key series matchups on Wednesday around Northest Georgia with several looking to try and stay near the top of the standings.
In Region 8-7A, Buford (3-8, 1-2 Region 8-7A) will try to even its serties with Mountain View at Gerald McQuaig Field and snap a three-game losing streak at the same time. The Bears (5-6, 1-0 Region 8-7A) took a 4-0 win in their series opener on Monday.
In Region 8-6A, North Forsyth (8-6, 3-0 Region 8-6A) and Jackson County (6-9, 3-0 Region 8-6A) sit tied atop the early standings and both face tough tests on Wednesday. The Raiders will play host to Gainesville (7-7, 1-3 Region 8-6A) which is trying to snap a three-game losing streak. The Panthers will travel to Lanier (12-3, 5-1 Region 8-6A) which is coming off a loss to North Forsyth last week.
In Region 8-4A, North Hall and Chestatee both are looking to clinch their series for future tiebreakers. The Class 4A sixth-ranked Trojans (10-4, 1-0 Region 8-4A North) will play host to East Forsyth (7-6, 0-1 Region 8-4A North) at Cottrell Field while the War Eagles (8-6, 1-0 Region 8-4A North) will play host to East Hall (4-9, 0-1 Region 8-4A North) at the Lynn Cottrell Complex.
In Region 8-5A, Class 5A No. 7 Jefferson (10-3, 2-0 Region 8-5A) will put its seven-game win streak on the line against Flowery Branch (8-6, 1-1 Region 8-5A) at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex.
