One person has been arrested and one is still at large in the case of a stolen excavator that was found in Towns County over the weekend.

In a social media post, the Towns County Sheriff's Office said they received a tip that led to the discovery of the CAT 305E excavator at a home on Bugscuffle Road near Macedonia. It had been reported as stolen out of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

When deputies searched the equipment on Friday, they reportedly found methamphetamine and a carbine rifle. Terrie Eugenia Miles, age 27 of Liberty, South Carolina, was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of felony theft by receiving and possession of methamphetamine.

Another suspect, later identified as Brandon Scott Anderson, age 35 of South Carolina, allegedly ran into the woods when investigators arrived on scene. Heavy rain at the time of the search prevented authorities from locating him and he is reportedly still at large.

Anderson is wanted on charges of felony theft by receiving stolen property. Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Towns County Sheriff's Office.

Brandon Scott Anderson, age 35 of South Carolina, is wanted in connection to a stolen excavator that was found in Towns County Friday.
