Region 8-2A will join the rest of the Northeast Georgia-area regions on Tuesday, opening its schedule with three huge matchups right out of the gates. Overall, it's a light schedule on the diamond but every game involves region play.
Region 7-3A will stage a trio of big games as all seven teams are within one game of the lead after a very competitive opening week last week.
In 7-3A, White County (5-6, 1-2 Region 7-3A) will play host to No. 2-ranked Pickens (9-3, 2-1 Region 7-3A) while No. 8 Lumpkin County (8-2, 2-1 Region 7-3A) travels to West Hall (3-7, 1-2 Region 7-3A). Dawson County (6-5, 2-1 Region 7-3A) travels to Gilmer (6-4, 0-0 Region 7-3A) which is opening its region schedule this week.
In Region 8-2A, East Jackson (9-4, 0-0 Region 8-2A) plays host to Athens Academy (6-5, 0-0 Region 8-2A), Banks County (4-6, 0-0 Region 8-2A) plays host to Providence Christian (2-9, 0-0 Region 8-2A), and Union County (0-12, 0-0 Region 8-2A) has a huge task traveling to No. 2 Fellowship Christian (9-2, 0-0 Region 8-2A).
In other key region matchups, Commerce (6-6, 3-0 Region 8-A D1) travels to Tallulah Falls (4-6, 1-2Region 8-A D1) looking to keep pace with No. 9 Athens Christian (8-2, 3-0 Region 8-A D1) atop the standings. The Eagles travel to Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy (0-6, 0-3 Region 8-A D1). No. 5 Elbert County (12-2, 2-1 Region 8-A D1) hits the road against Rabun County (3-5, 0-3 Region 8-A D1).
In Region 8-A D2, Towns County (6-3, 3-0 Region 8-A D2) plays host to Washington-Wilkes (7-4, 2-1 Region 8-A D2) trying to stay atop the early standings.
