Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a robbery case in Jefferson.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said its deputies arrested Luke Avery Brookshire, age 30 of Jefferson, on Monday. The alleged crime took place the day before at around 6:00 p.m. at a Shop N Save store on Commerce Road.
The clerk at the store reportedly called police saying a man had taken cash from the register and fled the scene in a black Jeep SUV. Authorities later identified Brookshire as the suspect.
Brookshire is being held in the Jackson County Jail on robbery charges as of last report.
